ST. CROIX FESTIVAL ROYALTY CONTESTANTS REVEALED AT DENIM-THEMED MEET & GREET

A small group of beautiful, confident and talented young ladies vying for the titles of Duchess, Princess and Jr. Miss for the 73rd St. Croix Crucian Christmas Festival in December was revealed during a spectacular “Denim-Your-Way”-themed meet-and-greet event held Sept. 7 at the Government House Ballroom on St. Croix.

The contestants were donned in custom-made denim outfits that showcased their individuality and style, giving attendees a first look at the girls’ abilities in the areas of modeling, public speaking and poise. The invitation-only event was attended by reigning royalty, family members, judges, and festival committee members.

Pageant chairperson Merlisa George hosted the event, dressed in a regal robe made from VI madras.

This year’s pageant will take place on Fri., Dec. 26 at the Festival Village in Frederiksted and will be open to the public.
