The Boy from St. Croix, a new documentary film about St. Croix’s very own hometown hero and legendary NBA power forward Tim Duncan, will make its world premiere at the 32nd annual Austin Film Festival (AFF), taking place October 23-30 in Austin, Tex.
The film was directed by Tim’s older brother, Emmy-award winning filmmaker and cinematographer Scott Duncan, and offers a rare look into the life of the notoriously private Tim. According to the film’s synopsis, “after keeping the world at arm’s length for decades,” the St. Croix-born basketball legend “reveals himself in an intimate portrait, reflecting on the game, his career, and his enduring connection to his native island of St. Croix.”
