THE MADRAS LOOKBOOK: AGRIFEST 2026

Honestly, one of the best things about the Annual Agriculture & Food Fair of the U. S. Virgin Islands, Agrifest, is the fashion!

The three-day event held on St. Croix over the Presidents’ Day weekend is a celebration of agriculture in the USVI; but for many locals, it is also considered the Super Bowl of see-and-be-seen moments on St. Croix.

The expansive fairgrounds, lined with vendors, corporate sponsors, farm-fresh produce, farm-raised animals, games, entertainment, and more offer umpteen opportunities for attendees to show off their unique style as they stop, shop and stroll around. And everyone—the girls, the guys and even grandma—take great pride in preparing memorable looks that would sizzle under the Agrifest sun.

At this year’s 54th Annual Agrifest, jointly sponsored by the V.I. Department of Agriculture, the University of the Virgin Islands School of Agriculture and the Virgin Islands Lottery, the ladies and gents did not disappoint! Many were spotted in some of the most fun, fashionable and creative VI Madras looks we’ve seen on island. From sundresses to bralettes, and headwraps to two-piece sets, we’ve curated a lookbook of glorious madras outfits and accessories (or closely related prints) from around social media for your viewing pleasure.
