ERNEST GIVES THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT

Meet 28-year-old Ernest Ward, a barista at V.I. Coffee Rosters at the King Christian Hotel in downtown Christiansted.
By day, Ernest serves up great coffee and frothy lattes as part of a dynamic team of young adults who run a tight ship at the coffee house, popular with both locals and visitors. At nights and on weekends, Ernest dishes out wicked urban style sensibilities, influenced by rappers Future and NLE Choppa.
Born in Miami and raised in St. Croix, Ernest describes his style as having “urban, black street wear” elements, as evidenced by his preference for baggy shorts and pants.
His number one style tip: wear what makes you happy.
“I wear what I want," he says. “The thing is, if you like it, put it on and make sure it matches.”
Clearly, Ernest practices what he preaches. His shades of brown monochromatic look offered a masterclass in color coordination.
